Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Unwire is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about our data practices.
1. Data We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials.
- Usage Data: We collect data about how you use the app, including screen time statistics, completed assessments, learning progress, and goals you set.
- Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, locale, and limited technical identifiers required by platform services, crash reporting, security, or account functionality. The anonymous Supabase funnel counts described below do not include device IDs.
- Analytics: Optional Firebase Analytics in the mobile app is used only when you opt in. Separately, Unwire records anonymous aggregate Supabase funnel counts to understand whether users complete onboarding and see premium screens. These counts include event name, date, platform, app version, locale, onboarding step/step key, premium placement/variant, and coarse failure reason bucket only. They do not include account ID, user ID, device ID, email, IP address, free text, goals, habits, reflections, assessment answers, or wellness content. On the website, Google Analytics may collect consent-based events such as page views, page type and language, app-store download clicks, call-to-action clicks, pricing section views, blog post views and reading progress, related-post clicks, support email clicks, FAQ opens, scroll depth, and outbound link clicks.
- Error Logs: Technical logs to diagnose and fix issues in the application.
We do not collect or access your personal messages, contacts, photos, or other files on your device beyond what is necessary for the app's core functionality.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information to:
- Operate and provide the app's services
- Personalize your experience and provide relevant content
- Track your progress and display statistics
- Send notifications and reminders (with your permission)
- Analyze performance and improve the app
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
Depending on your region, processing may rely on:
- Consent: You have given explicit permission for specific processing activities
- Contract Performance: Processing is necessary to provide services you requested
- Legitimate Interests: We have legitimate reasons to process limited data, such as fraud prevention, crash diagnostics, and anonymous aggregate funnel counts used to improve onboarding and app reliability.
- Legal Obligations: We must process data to comply with legal requirements
4. Data Storage & Retention
We retain your data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Specifically:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure
- Anonymous Funnel Counts: Supabase daily aggregate onboarding and premium-screen funnel counts are retained for up to 14 months and then pruned.
- Error Logs: Typically retained for 90 days unless needed for ongoing debugging
Data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption both in transit and at rest.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors, each bound by contractual data protection obligations:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, backend infrastructure, and anonymous aggregate funnel counters. Data may be stored in EU or US data centres; transfers outside the EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. The anonymous funnel endpoint receives no user ID, device ID, email, free text, goals, habits, reflections, assessment answers, or wellness content; Supabase may process technical request metadata transiently to operate and secure the Edge Function.
- Google Firebase, Crashlytics, and Google Analytics: Firebase Analytics mobile app usage events are sent only when you opt in. Crashlytics receives narrowed diagnostic crash data to help us fix bugs. Google Analytics on the website receives consent-based website events such as page views, download clicks, CTA clicks, pricing views, blog engagement, support email clicks, FAQ opens, scroll depth, and outbound link clicks. Data is processed under Google's data processing terms.
- Apple and Google (IAP & Sign-In): Subscription billing and social sign-in. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we receive only a purchase receipt.
We do not use advertising networks or sell data to data brokers. All processors are required to comply with applicable data protection laws.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")

10. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses local storage for cookie consent and may use Google Analytics cookies or similar identifiers only after you accept analytics cookies. These consent-based website analytics help us understand page views, download clicks, CTA clicks, pricing views, blog engagement, support intent, FAQ opens, scroll depth, and outbound links. The mobile app may use local storage for preferences and session management. We do not use advertising tracking cookies.
